The Institute of Nephro-Urology is primarily a superspeciality postgraduate Institute. The courses in this Institute are affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences & are recognized by the Medical council of India and the diploma course for Dialysis Technician is recognized by the Paramedical Board of the State of Karnataka.

The following courses are offered:

M Ch Urology: Six seats per year.

DM Nephrology:Two seats per year

50% of the seats are reserved for in-service candidates of the State of Karnataka.

Mode of Selection:

by All India level open entrance examination annually.

Fees Structure:

Fee of Rs. 75,000/- for the 1st Year

Rs. 62,500/- for the 2nd Year

Rs. 62,500/- for the 3rd Year as on date.

This fee structure is subject to change without prior notice. Along with the above fee the candidates has to pay a caution deposit of Rs. 1,00,000/- which shall be refunded after successful completion of the course as well as fulfilling all the requirements of the institute as per the bond executed.

Stipend:

The candidates for the above courses will be paid a stipend of Rs per month for all the academic year during his/her stay in the institute as below.

2 nd Year Rs. 45,000/-
3 rd Year Rs. 50,000/-

General Conditions:

The candidates who are admitted to undergo the above courses shall also execute a bond of a Non-Judicial stamp paper of Rs. 200/- for serving the institute for a period of two years after successful completion of the course or as per the rules of the parent Department. (Proforma enclosed)

Fellowship in Renal Dialysis:

The institute offers a Fellowship course in Renal Dialysis of one year for the candidates who possess a qualification of MD (General Medicine) or MD (Pediatrics).

This fellowship program is conducted in two batches every year. Each batch of 10 candidates starts their course in the month of January and July. This fellowship course is recognized by RGUHS.

The candidates for these courses are selected through a process of submitting their applications to the institute and an Interview thereafter. The exact dates for such a process shall be announced in the leading News Papers of the state and also on this website.

Fee Structure: The fee for the above course is Rs. 22,400/- as on date which is subject to revision.

Stipend:

A stipend of Rs. 30,000/- per month is paid to the candidate during his/her academic stay in the institute.

General Conditions:

The candidates selected to the program of fellowship in Renal Dialysis will also required to execute a bond in favor of the institute on a Non-Judicial stamp paper of Rs. 200/-for serving the institute for a period of one year after successful completion of the course. (Proforma enclosed). ….3..

Diploma in Dialysis Technology:

Fee Structure: Rs. 4000/- during the 1st , 2nd & 3rd year of admission and Rs. 4000/- for the successive years.

Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology course & Diploma in Operation Theater Technology Course.

This institute also offers a courses for Diploma in X-Ray Technology course.

This institute also offers a courses for B sc Renal Dialysis Technology Course.

This course is recognized by the Paramedical Board of the State of Karnataka.

The candidates for this course are selected through a process of counseling by the paramedical board of the State of Karnataka & details can be obtained from Paramedical board.

Duration of the courses:

Two years for candidates who have passed PUC or 10 + 2 or equivalent exams.

Three years for candidates who have passed S.S.L.C. or any equivalent examinations.

Fee Structure:

Rs. 4000/- during the 1st year of admission and Rs. 4000/- for the successive years.

Stipend:

No stipend is paid to the candidates who undergo this course.

Training to MS, MD students from other colleges:

Institute offers orientation course in Urology/Nephrology for candidates pursuing MS (General Surgery) and MD (General Medicine) in other Medical Colleges for a period ranging from one to two months. The clinical fee for this course is decided on application for such training.

Orientation courses are also offered to candidates pursuing UG/PG in Nursing & other paramedical courses.
